'As we grow older, childhood bedrooms often need to adapt to accommodate changing needs'
With increased use, we knocked down the wall between two rooms and connected them using folding glass doors, transforming the space into a combined living room and bedroom.
Although this house is 30 years old, the wooden floors, walls, and furniture are still in beautiful condition. Our team values these original elements and wanted to preserve them. We refinished the wood surfaces, including the floors, tables, and cabinets, giving them a more matte and contemporary feel. The tongue-and-groove wood panels, removed from the original partition wall, were repurposed as an accent behind the bed, while the existing furniture was modified to harmonize with the room's new atmosphere.
The client chose a green and yellow color palette, adding both vibrancy and warmth to the space.
Often, renovating a room we've known for years can make it feel brand new, while still retaining the essence of cherished memories.
